1. Create account on F5 website
https://login.f5.com
2. Download version 10.1 (Please remember to download the trial version, all version are not trial version. A key will be emailed to you during the process)
BIG-IP LTM Virtual Edition
My download of approx...250Mb took more than 8Hrs..may be due to speed limit restrictions at server end.
3. Install Virtial box or vmware
4. Run this download BIG IP ova file.
5. It will open in Virtual box
6. Start BIG IP VM
7. username -- root, password - default
8. enter config command at linux prompt
9.it will ask for IP ..enter ip which is accessible from your LAN or PC..u will be back at promt
10. from other machine or VM ..ping this VM..
11. Open browser and enter the IP address for Management with https://
12. Login as admin / admin . Watch following video for more clarity
